I met Andrew at the Melbourne Home Show and was immediately impressed, which led me to engage him for our backyard project. The job was far from easy, with a significant slope at the back and rocks throughout the area. Andrew and his designer, Zeb, worked closely with me to develop a solution that suited both the site conditions and our budget. The design was very well thought out, with careful attention to detail. Andrew also engaged his contractor to carry out the work, and I was very impressed with their professionalism. They were considerate, kept the site clean, and clearly took pride in their work. It was a substantial project, and the result reflects the effort and care put into it. Overall, we are very happy with the outcome and would happily recommend Andrew and his team. ~ Eshrar O

Fabulous experience from concept to completion. Andrew Whyte and designer Zac were very receptive to our specific brief, and presented flexible and innovative ideas which drew us to some exciting directions. The design and construction process was well explained and documented throughout. Delivered on time to an exceptionally high standard. A special shout out to landscape architect Zac for his brilliant mid-century inspired, bee-friendly design, and for the super friendly landscaping team who worked on our property, always with a can-do, respectful and consultative approach. We can't wait to see how the garden grows over the years. Six months on and the garden, crazy paving and deck area is already giving us great delight with little maintenance. Whyte Gardens created an amazing garden for our house in Mornington. They designed, built and landscaped all outdoor areas around our house including a timber deck, fire pit, pergolas, retaining walls, lighting, watering system, natural water feature, new lawns and gardens. Their designers were great to work with, listening to and improving our ideas and providing great ideas and expertise. Their staff which made the design a reality were polite and respectful, listened to new ideas, offered alternatives and quickly addressed any concerns. They were consultative and adaptable and were very easy and a pleasure to work with. Nothing was too hard. It is clear from the care and diligence they displayed that they took pride in their work and in the beautiful garden they created. We couldn’t be happier with our new outdoor area. Love my new garden. It is my dream garden and just walking in to it gives me a huge amount of pleasure and joy. I am very proud of it. We were lucky to have a personal recommendation to approach Whyte Gardens and consider their design for our lakeside retreat. The task was challenging with tight local regulations and a difficult block with which to work. We were delighted with their initial design and their professionalism in the build phase. They transformed the block into a landscape of which we are very proud. The design is sensitive to both the local community and to our home. I have no hesitation in recommending Whytes Gardens. They project managed and executed renovations to both our front and back gardens including a new concrete pool and spa, 10m deck including outdoor kitchen and couch space, louvre roof, auto blinds & heaters - plus landscaping, concrete around pools and paths, lighting, reticulation and grinding back our driveway! The Whyte Gardens team went above and beyond to make my dream garden a reality and have it ready for Christmas. What I imagined my front garden should look like was no where near as magical as the real thing, all created by Whyte Gardens. Whyte Gardens undertook a large landscaping project (design & construction) at my house (a new build). I found Andrew and his team to be exceptional in every aspect of the job. They took a lot of time to listen to my ideas and to carefully develop a design that suited my family. They did everything that they promised to do and did it in a timely fashion. When I asked for variations they always gave a cost quote up-front and were very transparent throughout the process. I always had a project manager that was across every aspect of the project whom I could speak to whenever needed. I really liked that Andrew Whyte himself was also actively overseeing the project. He was very approachable. All of the tradesmen from Andrew’s team were hardworking, very trustworthy and very respectful of my house and my family. A lot of tradesmen these days are pretty hopeless in that regard. It is a real credit to Andrew Whyte that he has assembled a team that is so brilliant and so passionate at what they do. I am very happy with the final result and it will only get better as the plants develop to their full potential. It is a perfect garden for me and my family. I commissioned Whyte Gardens to create a lovely front and back garden for my much-loved family home in Hawthorn. I wanted a Tuscan feel to the back area and a combination traditional/contemporary feel to the front. My requirements were taken into account and I worked closely with Whyte Gardens, sometimes with them pushing me out of my comfort zone. They make sure I was more than happy with their final drawings before commencing. The final design blew me away. So much interest and detail was put into the visual aspect of both front and back gardens. I love my decking, plants used and my outdoor BBQ area. What a difference it makes to use a landscape architect who is sensitive to your needs, with the end result being a garden that is so pleasing to the eye. Whyte Gardens thorough and professional approach was constant throughout the whole design and implementation process. From the selection of materials (pavers etc.), plants, lighting and even outdoor furniture suggestions. Their workers were a delight to deal with during construction. Any concerns I had were addressed immediately and professionally. I couldn't be happier with the end result, so much so that I commissioned Whyte Gardens to do my nature strip as well. They took care of obtaining the permit from council and what a pretty little nature strip I now have. It is the envy of all my neighbours as is my beautiful garden. When we first contacted Andrew we only had a vague idea of what we wanted. We were building a new home with a front courtyard. I wanted to have privacy, yet a street view, colour and aroma in the garden, yet easy to maintain and green. Added to that mix was a west facing aspect with the other compass points all thrown in for good measure. And we needed fencing, rendering and paving and a patio to be tiled, a driveway and a crossover. Even after our initial meeting with Ashley and Andrew, we knew we were going to be in good hands. We were listened to carefully, and within an hour of our first meeting, Ashley sent a summary of of our discussion to make sure all points were covered and recorded. About a week or so after, we were sent comprehensive plans showing plantings, types of plants, ideas for fencing, paving, irrigation system, water feature, etc. Their concept really reflected and enhanced our wants. We were rapt. Andrew and his team organised for any necessary permits, and, once construction began, were immensely reliable and professional. It seemed as if nothing was too difficult. Coordination was seamless and Andrew, Ashley and team took an enthusiastic interest in the works. The finished product is ...well... just great. The courtyard with its cantilevered seat and water feature and plantings just lends itself for a relaxing coffee and snack or a casual BBQ or just reading a good book. When a breeze blows, the leaves rustle and the flowers' aroma fills the air. It looks as if the house and garden were conceived as one. Thank you to all the team. Adela Malvern ~ adela k
